Renaissance Fair
Southeast’s Social Meeting Lab turned into a medieval market. We made signs out of cardboard (painted to look like wood), hung red tablecloths like curtains, and I constructed a cardboard castle backdrop with wooden bracers for a photo-op. I also made a wishing well out of cardboard, tape, and spray paint. Staff who wanted to participate wore their elf ears, fairy wings, and other accessories that fit the vibe.
Activities included trinket trading, making your own coat of arms, making potion bottles, weaving looms, a dueling sword fight arena with foam swords, various riddles to solve, and a knighting ceremony. We also played “bardcore” versions of popular songs!
